Lowcountry Classics is a small firm, handling no more than 10 new builds and/or renovation projects each year. Lowcountry builds spec homes and contract builds and builds on company owned lots as well as customers’ lots. Their primary area of interest is homes that are influenced by southeastern and/or historic influence.

John
H. Wells is a native of Jacksonville, Florida, where he has spent the last 20 years in the construction industry. His experience includes the construction of over 200 new homes, the renovation of over 100 homes, and the construction of various commercial projects such as neighborhood shopping centers, convenience stores, and restaurants. John holds a Florida General Contractor’s license. John has been married to his wife Lorrie for 30 years and they have two grown daughters. John’s civic involvement has included sponsorship of childrens’ sports teams and numerous volunteer activities. He served as Chairman of the Board and is still a board member of Keepsafe Adult Day Care. |

Ed Mitchell is a native Texan, and lived in Dallas and Atlanta prior to moving to Jacksonville in 2002. Ed’s entire career has been in various aspects of real estate. Ed started his career in real estate sales as an agent and broker. He then spent nearly 10 years as a commercial appraiser working for large firms in Dallas and Atlanta. Ed left the appraisal business in 1989 to pursue real estate investing full time. In 2002, Ed moved to Jacksonville to assist in managing an investment partnership. The disposition of that partnership led into the formation, with John, of Lowcountry Classics. Ed has been married to his wife Kelly for nine years and they have three children. Ed’s civic involvement includes serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of St. John's Presbyterian Kindergarten and serving on the Board of Directors of Riverside-Avondale Preservation, Inc. and Greenscape of Jacksonville. In addition, Ed is currently serving on the Mayor’s Stormwater Advisory Committee.
